Postscript
And so now we find ourselves embarking on new adventures.
Janene has always wanted to do a European trip, and a few years ago she was able to make this a reality, with our daughter as her travelling companion. I don't travel well, so I would not have been a good companion on the journey.
While she was overseas I took the opportunity to complete the recording of many almost finished songs, and put together my Heartburst Music website where people can listen to my songs and read about my musical journey. I continue to write new songs, and after I have recorded them I add them to my website.
After the European trip, my wife followed through on her passion for floral design, got her floristry qualifications, and opened her florist shop., The Sentimental Florist. This captured our energies for the last few years, so for a time music had to take a back seat.
The winds of change have begun to blow. Our adult children now have independent lives and we have made our sea change to live next to the beach. With more time on our hands, in between grandparent duties, I hope that music can play a greater part in this new chapter of our lives.
It was the intention of this autobiography to document just some of the areas of my life which I have found noteworthy. There is much more that could be written, but life goes on and many people have much more interesting lives than I do. All the opinions expressed are mine, if there are any inaccuracies in the text they are accidental, and if anyone has been portrayed unfairly I apologise.
