All songs are performed by me, and all songs are written by me, except for

  • on Bear My Soul, Your Grace Still Amazes Me was written by Cissy Padgett.
  • also on Bear My Soul, the first line of Don't You Forget comes from Save The Last Dance For Me by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman.
  • on Bear's Greatest Hits Volume II the musical themes for Spring And Autumn were written by Peter Beveridge
  • also on Bear's Greatest Hits Volume II, Valerie was written by Steve Winwood and Will Jennings
  • on Bear's Greatest Hits Volume I the music for The Blessed Son Of God was written by R Vaughan Williams, and the words are are a translation by Miles Coverdale of a hymn by Martin Luther
  • various songs have verses paraphrased or quoted from the bible, particularly
    63 and Luxuria on Bear Essentials,
    Overture (incorporating Lift and 103) on Bear Witness and
    Ecclesiastes on Bear My Soul.
  • Unsurprisingly, all songs on my covers album Bear's Repeating are not written by me.

I have grouped my songs into 'albums', with four albums completed, one album available for any future cover songs, and songs being progressively added to my sixth and most recent album as they are recorded.

This 'album' is an ongoing collection of songs written by other people.
The earliest recording dates back to 1979, the latest was recorded in 2018.
I expect to continue to add the occasional track in the future.
